Roskilde Cathedral, 30 kms west of Copenhagen, has been the burial place of the Danish Kings for several hundred years. The gothic cathedral is now a Unesco Site and definitely worth visiting. 

A good combination in Roskilde is to visit the Viking Ship Centre.
