In the heart of Jutland, we find the Danish Lake District. This is a hilly, forested area with the longest Danish river running through a number of lakes with many great walks and astonishing views.

In the area great experiences are waiting for you; like the beautiful Peak; Himmelbjerget (Sky Mountain. From here we have the greates view over lake, forest, heather.

Nearby is the town Silkeborg; the museum there exhibits one of the best preserved bog corpses; The Tollund Man.

South of Himmelbjerget, the little vintage railroad from Vrads to Bryrup drives through the forest pass small lakes to a nice coffee spot in the forest. 

It is also possible to go by the tour boat to Silkeborg including the oldest yet functioning paddle steamer "Hjejlen". Inquire for tour design and duration.
